Muslim Scouts is an initiative started 3 years ago to give our kids the opportunity to have fun, interact with others, and be physically active all within an Islamic environment. Alhamdulilah the program has continued to grow each year since it began. Kids ages 5 and up meet once a week with their groups (beaver, cub or scout) learning about the environment, enjoying sport activities or Islamic games, and practising everyday skills such as; cooking, first aid, or fire safety. There are many trips and events planned each month as well such as, an overnight camping trip, bowling, laser tag, horseback riding, archery, camp fires and much more. They are also taught and exposed to the importance of volunteering and have helped at the food bank. Once the year is over, the kids will have strong friendships, become more confident with their abilities and skills, and increased their Islamic knowledge in multiple ways InshAllah.
