How do I join the meeting?

The meeting link was e-mailed/mailed to registered active members of the London Muslim Mosque in the General Meeting notice. Here are the steps to join the meeting: 1) Click on the link which will take you to a registration page 2) Enter your full name and e-mail address and click 'Register' 3) A link to join the actual meeting will be sent to your e-mail on the day of the meeting 4) Open your e-mail and click on the meeting's link 5) The host of the meeting will allow you to join the meeting. This could take a couple of minutes so please be patient. 6) Once you are in the meeting, please note that everyone will be muted and you can only participate through chat with the host. Please ensure to include your correct e-mail address to be able to join the meeting. 


Who can vote in the meeting?

Registered active members of the London Muslim Mosque with good standing can vote and attend.

If I am participating in the meeting with another person, can we each vote?

The other member would need to login using a different device and e-mail as only one vote is allowed per attendee. Those who hold proxy forms will be allowed to vote twice for those who appointed them as proxies. 


How do I proxy my vote?

The person you appointed as a proxy will get a link to cast the vote on your behalf during the meeting. Those who cannot attend can appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf. Please click here for the proxy form. Please note that the deadline to submit proxy forms is 4 PM on Friday, December 4, 2020. 



What if I join the meeting late?

You can still cast your vote even if you are late as long as you join the meeting before the vote is cast. However, after the voting is closed no more votes will be accepted. 


What if I don’t have access to the internet?

The meeting will be held online due to COVID-19 restrictions. Internet connection is required to attend the meeting. 



What is the number of members to achieve quorum? What if there isn’t quorum met?

The number needed is at least 147 members. Under the by-laws, if 20% quorum is not met in the first 20 minutes, the AGM is cancelled.


How am I going to elect directors?

You will receive a ballot in your e-mail titled "LMM Board Elections 2020". Once you receive the e-mail click where it says "Click here to vote", you will be directed to the voting page. Please place a check mark beside the names of the people you would like to elect for the board. Please note that our By-laws require that you vote for exactly six people in order for your ballot to count. If you vote for less or more than six, the ballot will not submit.
