Safe Paths: Guidance for Parents and Youth
", an educational session aimed at helping families navigate the challenges of keeping our youth safe. This important event will be held on
Saturday, October 19th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Basement, Lower Prayer Hall, and Youth Lounge
. This event is designed for parents and youth aged 15 and older, featuring a lineup of knowledgeable speakers, including Imam Mohamed Al-Jammali on the Islamic perspective of avoiding negative influences, and Sergeant Ziyad Zabian and Youth Crime Officer , police representatives providing insight into local gang activities. Separate workshops will be held; one for parents will be led by Sh. Abd Al Fatah Twakkal (MRCSSI representative), and one for youth, facilitated by the John Howard Society-Youth Empowerment Programs. The event will conclude with a Q&A session and refreshments.
